Good Things

I have a quick card to share with you today.  I again used the Sprinkles of Life stamp set.  This set is just so adorable and so many ideas for it.  This time the ice cream scoops became tree tops.  I used the coordinating punch to punch out the trees.  The DSP is the A Cherry on Top DSP stack and I just free handed the hills.  The sentiment is from the You've Got This stamp set.  The middle tree is popped up on dimensionals.  Colors used are Bermuda Bay, Chocolate Chip and Cucumber Crush.

Hope you've enjoyed this and here's wishing you a wonderful weekend.
Blessings,
Renee

A Survivor Card

Well today sure felt like it was Monday.  Thankfully it's not and tomorrow is Wednesday.  Well ok, now it is Wednesday.  I started this post and didn't get it finished so I'll just take off from here.  We are now half way to the weekend.  I have one more weekend sort of free and then the month of June will be a very busy time.  I have lots of cakes to make and of course my sister is getting married.  It will be hectic, but I'm sure lots of happy moments too.

So here is the card that I wanted to share.
I made this card to send for my Stampin' Survivor group.  I had Rodney on Survivor this time and surprisingly enough he lasted until the last 4.  When it started out I thought he might make an early exit, but such was not the case.  I've received some lovely cards from fellow cast offs.  Maybe when I get a little extra time I can get pics taken and posted.

I used all new products on this card.  First the new colors.....Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush are the base layers.  I used some new DSP called A Cherry on Top.  This has bright summer colors and is going to be a favorite.  It comes in a 6 x 6 stack of 48 sheets and will sell for $8.00.  The stamp set used is going to be a big hit as well.  It's called Sprinkles of Life and is the new Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set.  If you purchase this set which will sell for $21.00, Stampin'Up! will donate $3 to RMHC.  It's a win, win for everyone.  I can't wait to show you more with this stamp set.  I used the new Boho Chic embossing folder for the back ground.  Another great thing about this card is the only fussy cutting I did was the ice cream cone and that wasn't hard.  The scoops of ice cream were punch out as was the flag/banner tails on the sentiment.  I'll be sharing more on those in the days ahead.  I finished off my card by making a tying a little knot with some of the dotted lace trim and attached it with a mini glue dot.

Please check my website www.reneeond.stampinup.net for this weeks specials.  Don't forget that on June 2 and June 2 only you can order from both last years catalog and this years catalog.  Be sure and get orders in early as I'm sure that the website will be busy.  Contact me for further help or information.

Need a new catalog?  I've got them here and ready to go.  Just contact me to get yours.

Blessings,
Renee

Happy Birthday............Flower Pot!

Hey there!  Happy Memorial Day!  I hope you are having a nice day and that you've stopped and paused to say thanks in some sort of way to those of whom this day is all about.  A big thanks to all those who have served and are still serving to protect this great country we live in.  We can never repay you for your great sacrifices.

On Saturday in our stamping Facebook group, fellow demo Chris Galbraith posted an adorable card and when I saw it I just knew I had to case it.  I'm not sure if Chris has a website or I would direct you to it.  Here is my version of her card.

I used the new color Watermelon Wonder for the flower and some new DSP that will be in the upcoming catalog as well for the flower pot and the bow.  The embossing folder is new as well.

If you haven't received the new catalog yet and you would like one please let me know.  They can be picked up here at my house or if you need me to mail it to you, all I ask is that you help cover the shipping of $5.

Well Brooke and I have been crafting today and now it's time to get some supper, so here is wishing you an enjoyable evening and I will see you back here hopefully tomorrow.

Blessings,
Renee

Sharing in Your Sorrow

It's Friday!  We made it!  Looking forward to a good weekend.  We have a graduation party to attend and other than that, it is going to be pretty laid back.  I'll get to spend some time with my hubby on Sunday and Monday and I'm going to try real hard not to think about this being the first holiday ever that my Lindsay won't be here.  At least it's not like it's Christmas.  That one would be a little harder to handle.

I had to make a couple of sympathy cards in the last week so I thought I'd share those with you today.

The Thoughts and Prayers stamp set is always a go to set for sympathy cards.

Here I used the new set You've Got This from the upcoming catalog and just paired it with words from the Thoughts and Prayers set.  It's a little hard to see, but I stamped the flower twice and cut one out and layered it with dimensionals to raise it up a bit.  I used some more of that beautiful Something Borrowed DSP on this card as well.  You really should get you some of that DSP before it is gone.

Have a great weekend!
Blessings,
Renee

Retiring Class Projects

On Tuesday night I had my last class for this catalog period and we used all kinds of stuff that will be retiring.  Kind of a last hurrah for sets and accessories that have been some of my favorites.  Had a nice class and the girls really liked the projects.

The Hello There card used the stamp set call Timeless Talk.  The DSP is from the Occasions catalog and is called Something Borrowed.  This paper is so beautiful and versatile because of it being a neutral.  Colors are Sahara Sand and Whisper White.

The Happy Birthday card used the Label Love stamp set and punch (both retiring) and the DSP was Flowerpot.  The ribbon was Hello Honey.

The card on the left use the stamp set Blooming with Kindness.  One of my all time favs.  You can make such quick cards with this set.  Colors were Strawberry Slush and Pistachio Pudding.

The card on the right was super easy.  I used the set from the Occasions catalog Big On You.  I love that wall the words are big and can fill your card without much else.  They really make a statement.  The DSP is the In Color 2013-2015 paper stack.  The color is Crisp Cantaloupe.  A little of the thick baker's twine finished it off.  The words were cut out with the Project Life framelits.  Thankfully those framelits are staying around for this next catalog.

This last card was a classic black and white card.  The DSP was the Back to Black paper.  The words are from the set Really Good Greetings and the feather is from the Four Feathers stamp set.  Again the words were cut out with the Project Life Framelits.

These cards were quick and simple to make.  If you need to add any of these things to your collection, please visit my store and order them today.  Time is running out.  Stamp sets will be available until June 2 and everything else is while supplies last so don't delay.

Special thanks to my ladies who attended my class on Tuesday.  As always it was a pleasure to stamp with you and I'm glad you liked the projects.  As an attendee of this class they were able to get their new catalogs early.  Hope you are enjoying them girls!  If you would like a catalog please drop me a message and we'll make arrangements for getting you one.  If you have ordered from me in the last six months there is no charge for a catalog.  Anyone else it is just $5.  Please let me know if I can be of any help to you.

Blessings,
Renee

A Sneak Peek

Today I have a project that is using a sneak peak stamp set and In Color that will be in the new 2015-2016 Stampin'Up! catalog.  I bought the frame at Gordman's in Saginaw back in February because, well because I just like frames and knew I'd figure out something to put into it.  When I saw this new stamp set I knew immediately what I'd put in it.

The stamp set is called You've Got This.  It's a very pretty, elegant set and I look forward to creating more with it.  I added the pearls on top of the glass.  I made the bow using the new Watermelon Wonder lace ribbon.  Watermelon Wonder is one of the new 2015-2017 In Colors.  I attached the ribbon with a couple of glue dots to finish this project off.

You can view this weeks specials here  WEEKLY SPECIALS and don't forget about the special offer for Paper Pumpkin.  New subscribers get 50% off of their first two months.  You can sign up at PAPER PUMPKIN and use PROMO CODE SAVE50.  Offer is good until June 12.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.  I would love to be of help to you.
Blessings,
Renee

A Much Better Day

Good afternoon!  I went to see my doctor yesterday and I am already getting some relief.  I've really had a bad flare up of my fibromyalgia again and haven't been able to get on top of it. She changed some meds and just taking them yesterday and today has been a big change.  One thing is that I slept better last night than I have in months.  When you don't get enough of the right kind of sleep it's hard to manage much of anything, let alone pain.  I am really praising God today and praying that I continue to have some relief.

I was able to do quite a bit of housework today and then I came to my stamp room to tackle some organization in it.  I get so distracted by all the cool stuff I find.  LOL!  Once again counter tops are clear and I was able to take some pictures of my latest project.  This is what I made for my mother for Mother's Day.  It's a cute little mini album.  I found the basic directions on Pinterest and then did my own thing.  Hope you like it.

Here is the front of the album.  The words are from a set that is retired already.

I used the Moonlight DSP stack on this.  The colors are Basic Gray, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Sahara Sand, Whisper White.  This paper is on the retired list so don't delay in getting if it is on your wish list.

This is the back flap that folds inside.    This was a fun little project to work on.

I also want to share the card I made for my sister for her bridal shower.  This is made with a stamp set that was in a Spring mini catalog a few years ago.  These are the kind of sets I hang onto because I don't buy too many limited use sets, but I really like this one.

You can't see in the picture, but I used the Shimmery White cardstock on this.  That cardstock gives such a soft shimmery feel to any project.  I used Blender Pens and ink pads to color in the ribbon and flowers.

Well I guess that's it for now.  Have a great evening!
Blessings,
Renee

Catching up..........again!

Hey there!  I feel so bad that I haven't been posting like I should and especially this week.  I will tell you that this week has been an adjustment.  As a mom seeing your last one fly the nest, it just does something to you.  I know I will adjust, but it sure is different.  I've sort of forgotten what it's like to "manage Frank" on my own.  LOL!  The girls have always been such big helps around here and now it's back to just Frank and I.   I mean on Monday night Frank was planting garden and I ended up watching Dancing with the Stars all alone.  Not to mention Grey's last night.  Sort of different without your girl there to discuss.  I know these aren't big things and a new normal will take over, but if anyone is up for chick watching TV, let me know. LOL!

So here I want to share a couple of cards with you.  I made these on my girls getaway weekend and still haven't shared them so here goes.

I've also been working on stuff for my sister's bridal shower and wedding, but I don't want to share that with you until after so that it stays a surprise.  Her shower is tomorrow so I will show you those favors after that.

Don't forget that the Stampin'Up! retired list is still going and there is still lots left.  Get those favorites before they are gone.  Some items are up to 50% off.  Also check out the weekly deals as well.  You can find all the info by visiting my store right HERE.

Also don't forget about my Last Chance Retiring Class.  Come make some great projects featuring some of the retiring products.  You can find out all the details on my SU site as well.  Just click HERE

Hopefully next week will get back to some normalcy and I can get back to creating and posting.  Thanks for stopping by.

Blessings,
Renee
